3H Equine is a western tack and lifestyle brand based in Quirindi in the New England region of New South Wales, offering a unique blend of performance gear and personal style for riders. Specialising in hand-braided horse tack, colourful equipment for barrel racers, and carefully curated western clothing and accessories, the business is built around the idea that gear should work hard in the arena while reflecting individuality.
Owned and operated by Amy Hodges, 3H Equine began from a simple need. Unable to find colourful tack for her daughter’s brumby, Amy started hand-braiding reins herself. What began as a practical solution quickly gained attention, with other riders seeking the same distinctive style. From there, the business steadily grew into a recognised name within the regional horse community.
Today, Amy runs 3H Equine alongside her family, travelling to events across regional New South Wales and connecting directly with riders through trade stands and community involvement. Many of the products are still handmade locally in Quirindi, including signature items such as braided cord reins and hand-cut leather reins. Options include joined, split, and stabiliser reins, designed to provide improved balance and grip, as well as leather reins finished with kangaroo lace for durability and texture.
Riders often pair these pieces with matching tack sets, creating practical yet eye-catching combinations. Each handmade item is unique, reflecting both craftsmanship and the individuality of the rider who uses it.
